1. What mediums do you use?

Most of my artwork is mixed media. This usually involves an acrylic underpainting which I then embellish with a variety of papers from a range of sources (recycled magazines, environmental print, art papers, etc). I sometimes add some finishing flourishes with acrylic pens too.

In addition to my mixed media pieces, I also create oil paintings and soft pastel artwork.

2. Can I commission a painting?

Yes, I would be delighted to create a unique piece of artwork for you – whether it is a beloved pet or a favorite scene, I am happy to do so. Also, if you have some special paper of your own that you would like included, I would love to incorporate it into the composition.

3. What is a giclee print?

A giclee print is a reproduction of an original painting, made by professionally photographing or scanning the original piece. It is printed on a large-scale printer with archival ink on fine art paper or cradled board. Once framed or on your wall, you cannot tell it isn’t an original artwork!

4. How will artwork be shipped?

Artwork is packaged with great care in glassine paper, bubble wrap, and a sturdy cardboard box. It is insured and shipped through USPS, UPS, or other carrier.

5. I live locally, can I pick up my artwork from your home?

Yes! If you are local to Norfolk/Virginia Beach, you are welcome to pick up your artwork in person. Please email met at fiona@fionatwoseart.com to arrange it.

6. Can I return the artwork I purchased?

All artwork is final sale. If you are concerned with the quality of the item received, please email me at fiona@fionatwoseart.com.

Whilst I take the utmost care to package your artwork properly and carefully, sometimes accidents happen. If your artwork is damaged during shipping, please get in touch and send a picture of the damaged piece in its original packaging with your message. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis. I am not liable for mishandling or failed delivery by shipping carriers.

7. Who holds the rights to the artwork?

I retain all rights to the artwork I create including the rights to the image of sold and commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the customer has, in addition to purchasing the original artwork, purchased the rights to the artwork. The customer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission from the artist.

8. Do you work with interior designers?

I would be delighted to work with designers and offer a trade discount on the artwork used in their designs. I am also happy to work with designers on commissioned pieces to fit their designs. Please email me at fiona@fionatwoseart.com for more information.
